While on bail for a much larger cryptocurrency robbery, a Canadian man was convicted guilty of defrauding nearly 200 people out of CAD $1 million. His SIM swap attack on DreamHost co-founder Josh Jones in 2020 resulted in the theft of around CAD$48 million worth of digital assets.
