1inch announced a large upgrade to its platform. As a result of user feedback, the protocol refined the interface and improved its infrastructure. The latest upgrade incorporates Trade Mode, offering clear execution controls, rebrands Pro Mode to Terminal, incorporating many new features, and doubles the speed of transactions for swaps throughout the entire ecosystem.
What Does 1inch Upgrade Provide?
Trade Mode offers a dedicated interface that provides explicit execution parameters and provides trade completion visibility for the user. Traders can now make traditional swaps using customizable parameters, create limit orders with the full tracking history (lifecycle), as well as gas/slippage customization for each swap executed. Integrated price charts and the ability to verify liquidity paths provide additional market context before completing trades.

Pro Mode has now transitioned to 1inch Terminal with major enhancements, too. Users can now customize gas and slippage, view the complete order history (including all limit orders placed), create a custom pair picking list (with favorites), and access a dedicated Network Selector located in the header of the platform.

Behind the scenes, intent-based swap execution has been almost doubled in speed, from 26 seconds to 14 seconds for the median execution time (25% of swaps executed in under 9 seconds). Furthermore, cross-chain swap transactions are now completed in seconds rather than minutes, utilizing optimized routes but maintaining non-custodial security.

Why Is It Important
According to co-founder Sergej Kunz, the need for technology innovation is twofold: “When building any technology, an innovation feedback loop is essential. Today’s raft of user-centric enhancements is designed to deliver greater clarity, control, and performance. We heard you, we built, and today we ship.”
