The NEAR Protocol launched near.com as a super app to combine all activity in the crypto ecosystem into a single, frictionless experience. Co-Founder Illia Polosukhin presented the platform as an entry point into the “agentic era” where artificial intelligence (AI) acts on behalf of users rather than just providing answers.
What near.com Delivers
The super app allows users to swap assets at fully decentralized speeds across multiple chains (over 35), including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and ZCash. The “confidential mode” allows for transfers and balances to be kept private by default, this introduces a true solution to the problem of transparency while using blockchains. Users can use smart contracts to execute peer-to-peer transactions safely, access yield through a blockchain without lock-ups, and soon be able to use AI agents for financial assistance.
Users do not need an email address or go through a Know Your Customer (KYC) process to participate in trading on the platform; users can establish accounts using any wallet or passkey instantaneously.

Why It Matters
Near.com is part of the company’s shift from providing an infrastructure for blockchains to becoming a widely used consumer product. This app removes barriers that hinder regular users by removing the need for gas fees, having a private key, or switching networks. Near plans to add tokenized versions of real-world assets (RWAs), virtual banking accounts, and debit cards. By doing so, near.com will become a one-stop onchain finance hub.
